It is the aim of UKME Academy that all persons have the right to receive an individual personalised service and to be fully involved in their teaching, training and assessment.
- Receive a teaching, training and assessment service appropriate to their individual needs, regardless of age, gender, colour, condition, religion, or social class.
- Be treated at all times with skill, dignity and respect.
- Have individual peers treated with courtesy and understanding.
- Have the support of a teacher, assessor or advisor within reason – when requested.
- Receive reasonable advocacy and interpreting service if necessary.
- Have confidentiality observed for all records and information relating to academic and or personal details and to have access to teaching, training and assessment records.
- Be informed about all aspects of your strengths and weaknesses and to be involved in all assessments and further learning decisions – along with any alternatives where appropriate: [ unless you express a wish to the contrary , or it is against your best interests – for example an advisor or counsellor is acting on your behalf.
- Accept or refuse teaching, training and assessment – without it affecting the standard of alternative learning episodes or modes.
- Have your concerns, fears, doubts fully discussed in private and if appropriate independent options sought.
- Expect the appropriate level and skill mix to be available for your relevant needs.
- Receive reasonable written information about the learning opportunities, assessments and or support to be provided and the facilities available.
- Find teaching, training and assessment providers’ premises; clean healthy and safe – with adequate services for your needs.
- Know how to make a complaint, to have it investigated quickly, impartially and to be thoroughly informed of the results and the steps that can be taken if you are not satisfied with the outcome.
- Expect that adequate post assessments, certification and support arrangements are in place prior to completion of or leaving the course.
- Receive provision of any service without inappropriate delay.
- Choose whether or not to participate in pilot studies or research trials – teacher, trainer, advisor or assessor training and to be withdrawn at anytime without affecting the standard of alternative learning strategies or support services.
- Be given detailed information on alternative learning strategies or services, including their quality standards.
- Be guaranteed admission to the required qualification as is determined by the sponsor by the specified date no later then 18 weeks from an advisor placing you on a waiting list.
- Be advised of the costs in terms of finance and the time in relation to the qualification sought.
- Be clearly aware who will finance your ambitions.
- Know when that finance will be available and in what form.
